An ambitious Financial Accountant is required by CareerWise for a permanent position with one of our Cork based Manufacturing Clients. THE ROLE: * Preparation and distribution of financial reports to management, maintenance of the organisation's general ledger, and ensuring that all transactions and documentation comply with accounting principles and regulations. * Month End Reporting, VAT submissions, managing the relationship with Revenue and HMRC, Bank Reconciliations, CapEx, and Audit Management. * Manage day to day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, cash receipts, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, fixed asset records, general and entity accounting. * Continually improve internal controls. * Develop financial models, prepare Profit and Loss and Cash forecasts to help identify business opportunities, risk and ensure performance better. * Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. * Manage of Junior staff when needed. REQUIREMENTS: * Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA. * 4 years PQE in a similar environment an advantage. * Experience of ERP systems and strong Excel skills essential. * Ability to meet strict deadlines in a timely and efficient manner. * Willingness to travel as per business needs.
