Financial Accountant (FMCG, Cork)
Reporting to the Accounting and Reporting Manager, this role entails responsibility for all Financial Accounting activities with a leading manufacturing FMCG multi-national in Cork. Working in a team of 5 you will have scope in the role to undertake project work in this continuous improvement working environment. The Role: Your remit will include providing monthly financial accounting and reporting including financial consolidation and reporting. Provide support in the preparation of Statutory Financial Accounts and Pension Scheme accounts. Support in internal and external audits (Operations, VAT, Financial). You will also be responsible for compliance with VAT regulations. You will monitor and review process controls and ensure corrective occurs when required. This organisation highly values input for process improvement and you be have the opportunity to both identify and implement continuous improvement and standardisation opportunities. The Person. You will be a qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CPA, ACA) with 3 years plus post qualification experience. You will be agile, with experience in working in a fast paced working environment. Strong communication skills are essential both working within the finance function, wider business and external auditors. You will be analytically minded, couple with strong systems skills, in particular Advanced Excel (SAP experience is desirable but not essential. You will seek change, striving for continuous improvement. You will be ambitious both for yourself and the organisation.
