Development Lab Manager-Api
PE Global are currently recruiting for a Development Lab Manager-API for one of their pharmaceutical clients in Cork. This is a permanent role. This role requires a Qualified Chemical Engineer. This is a great opportunity for someone to get involved in thinking of future development. Responsibilities of the role: Full responsibility for leading and directing all lab activities from day to day operations through to developing future strategies for the facility. They will ensure the facility is GMP Registration enabled and all activities are undertaken to ensure materials and data of the highest standard are generated to meet customer and regulatory needs. Lead and develop the team onsite. Create a work environment where colleagues can maximise their involvement and contribution to delivering department goals and objectives. Create a culture of continuous improvement and high performance teamwork. Maximise synergies across the wider Technology Team. Support and deliver optimised relationships internally and with external groups. Work with global customers and stakeholders to identify the products, projects and technologies. Lead a team of Research Technologists and Process Engineers on a diverse range of activities from scale-up batch trials with all associated preparations, execution and knowledge capture, filing batch campaigns, technology evaluation and new capability installation. Lead project engineering activities delivering increased capability and capacity in the facility. Ensure best practice planning, scheduling and team communications are implemented. Ensure the highest safety standards are applied to all work and implement projects/ initiatives to deliver an incident & injury free workplace. Deliver all departmental activities within budget. Deliver continual improvements in the team and departmental operations. Education and experience required: Chemical Engineering degree is essential. A number of years experience within an API environment. People management experience would be desirable.
