Payroll And Accounts Manager Cork


Our client, a well-established and expanding engineering company, is now seeking a Payroll & Accounts Technician for their office in Cork. This will be a varied role which will involve responsibility for the company’s accounting activities, including Payroll and accounts payable, and additional activities such as IT Systems Administration. Main duties and responsibilities: Weekly Payroll for up to 100 employees. Processing supplier invoices & preparing weekly payment run. Assisting in the preparation of Month End and Annual Accounts. Reporting to Accounts Manager and assisting with ad-hoc duties. Working with IT Technical staff and Consultants to ensure the smooth running of the company’s IT systems. Candidate Requirements: 2 + years' experience working in a payroll position. Qualified Accounting Technician or similar desirable. Sage Micropay experience would be an advantage. Ability to analyse and interpret data. Knowledge of IT System Administration would be beneficial. Excellent Computer Skills with a strong working knowledge of MS Excel. Work with IT Technical staff and Consultants to ensure the smooth running of the IT systems. Initally this role will require some travel therefore access to own transport would be beneficial. Person Specification: Ability to build and maintain relationships. Strong interpersonal skills. Set an example of enthusiasm, loyalty and hard work. Capable at performing well under pressure. Ability to meet tight deadlines consistently and to take ownership of the role. A high level of initiative with a sense of responsibility. Terms: Full time, permanent.
