A large Irish- owned organisation is looking for an IT Security Specialist to join their team on a 6 month day rate contract. This position will lie on the IT Security Operations team based in Cork and be responsible for all security infrastructure. The Role: Provide first line support of defence for the organisation against any IT or Cyber related attacks. Responsible for the organisation's firewall management. Responsible for the administration of Anti-Virus and Data Loss prevention technology. Collate and provide monthly update on status of Tier 1 infrastructure patching and implement patch installs. Ensure adequate Disaster Recovery facilities are deployed to ensure continuity of operations for the IT Security environment and manage up to date recovery strategies. Manage and maintain the Network Access Control technology in line with the organisation's policies. Responsible for the Remote Access environment. Address and coordinate the resolution of all issues identified arising from vulnerability testing in line with priority. Operate and manage the Secure File Transfer environment. The Person: Degree qualified in computer science or a related field. A minimum of 6 years' experience working in a similar role. Strong experience of Information Security and Risk Management principals. Highly proficient understanding of the Cyber Security and Advanced Persistent Threats (APT. Highly experienced with Checkpoint Firewall / Netscalers / McAfee / Axway Email Gateway and Secure File Transfer technologies. Strong knowledges of the fundamentals of ISO27001 : 2013 Standard.
