TRAINING & COMPETENCY CO-ORDINATOR. Our client is now recruiting for the role of Training & Competency Coordinator reporting to the Quality Manager. This role is responsible for the updating and maintenance and co-ordination of the existing Training & Competency System to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements including the site’s international management systems standards. This role plays a key part in the QSE (Quality, Safety & Environmental) Management System. Responsibilities: Planning and organising delivery, documentation, evaluation and recording of all regulatory, mandatory and non-mandatory training, including refresher training, for all personnel onsite. Recording of training on the Training Matrix and Entropy Software System. Ensuring all relevant training documentation is completed in full and filed according the regulatory and QSE Management System requirements. Issuing a monthly KPI dashboard report to the QSE Managers on training and competency performance, including highlights for the month. Co-ordinating the delivery of the Lean Six Sigma Training Programme. Liaise with HR on a monthly basis to provide required information and assist with training records audits. Working with Line Managers to: Ø ensure that Competency Matrices are up-to-date for each area with regard to role descriptions, role competency definitions and competency assessments. Ø maintain training frameworks for all roles. Ø identify gaps in regulatory/mandatory training and functional development /CPD training gaps. Ø generate training and development plans for personnel. Source training providers qualified to deliver required training and ensure that they are assessed as competent to deliver the relevant training. Organise Confined Space Medicals for relevant personnel. Ensure that all company procedures are adhered to in the execution of the role, with particular reference to those associated with training and competency. Report on competency and training performance for the annual Competency & Training Management Review and prepare relevant corporate reports. Liaise with HR in the delivery of Company Induction programme. Collate, update, and communicate all the budgetary requirements for the financial year for training and development. Manage the training and development budget. Requirements: A third level qualification preferably, but not exclusively, in Business / HR / Training and Development or equivalent. Train the Trainer QQI Level 6 or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a production environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail. A strong team player who is flexible, reliable and can build effective relationships. Proficient in electronic training and competency and document management systems. Knowledge of SAP for generating purchase orders for training courses/suppliers an advantage.
