Construction Administrator. Cork. Permanent. My client, a leading Construction company is recruiting a Construction Administrator for an immediate start in Cork. Responsibilities. Act as first point of contact. Log and action incoming post. Answering the phone, log and transfer calls as appropriate. Purchase materials as per site requirements from suppliers as requested by the site foremen and QS. Weekly processing of purchasing invoices. Weekly Sub Contractor payments RCT. Registration of all payments with the external accountant. Creating the weekly payment list. Preparation of the back-up of all vat returns for the external accountant. Monthly accountancy documentation preparation and sign off. Control of employees’ expenses claims and monthly report preparation. Administration Site Support to include: supplying site managers with all relevant documentation needed. Safety packs, site start up packs. Liaise with site managers on a daily basis to maintain and update records in order to comply with office procedures and Health & Safety regulations. Completion of Pre-Qualification questionnaires for Tenders. Administration for H & S Audits such as Safe T Cert and ISO. Other ad-hoc duties as required. Requirements. Third level qualification in a relevant area. 2+ years’ experience in an Administration role. Previous experience in a similar role preferably in the construction industry. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with purchasing and/or accounts is beneficial. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail.
