An Applications Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based specialist electronics client. Please contact Diarmuid Buckley for more information. THE ROLE: * Primary job responsibilities include determining customer's specific technical requirements and product feature needs. * Generating proposals: product data sheets, bill of materials, concept drawings, NRE costing, product pricing, Gannt charts, etc. * Interfacing with management, engineering, sales and manufacturing teams as well as customer staff to ensure products t meet customer needs. * Participating in and/or leading customer calls. * Providing technical support to customers including feedback to engineering, operations and customer solutions. REQUIREMENTS: * BS degree in an engineering/science discipline. * Demonstrable project management abilities. Understanding of project scheduling, task definition and effort estimation. * Strong commercial evaluation and documentation writing skills. * Experience performing sales application engineering for the industrial lighting industry highly desirable. * Experience with ERP and CRM (Salesforce or similar ) systems.
