PE Global is recruiting a Learning & Development / Training Specialist for one of its client sites in Cork. This is a contract role for an initial 12 month period. Role: The Learning Specialist will be a key member of the Learning & Development Team providing Learning & Development support to a key site project having the ability to co-ordinate activities and schedules in a fast moving environment. She/he will be accountable for the smooth execution of their set goals, and will work closely with the team lead to fully participate in the overall team and project performance. Ensure strong project focus and ability to work closely with the Project Lead(s) in coordinating training deliverables and meeting project scope and will own assigned tasks for the entire project, or portions of project. Development of Learning plans for business and functional areas Communication and Co-ordination of all training milestones. Prepare various training status reports and metrics for on-going review. Ensure compliance with cGMP and other business compliance regulations. Continually evaluates training progress and effectiveness and update training material when necessary. Partnering with External Vendors Control of area expenditure within budgetary limits. Participate in risk assessments, inspections, audits, incident investigations and implement and follow-up related CAPA’s. Help maintain Learning & Development deliverables. Participate and comply with the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, including ownership. Requirements: Degree or 3rd level qualification (Business, Science. A Learning and Development qualification is desirable. At least 5 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or a similar operating environment. Demonstrated knowledge in more than one pharmaceutical and/or chemical manufacturing operation (e.g. Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, etc.). Organisation Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and to know when to escalate issues for resolution. Learning Delivery: Knowledge of methods and alternatives for delivering learning solutions. Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Project Management qualification such as Project Management Professional. Desirable evidence of Continuous Professional Development. Knowledgeable in Learning and Development. Ability to respond to changing priorities. Knowledge of technical training curriculum and design processes, and development of skills Qualification programmes. Experience in the biologics manufacturing industry is advantageous. Adult Learning Theory and Practice: Knowledge of concepts and practices of adult learning and its application to the workplace. Project management skills. Facilitation skills. Problem solving skills. Communication skills.
