TINE is Norway's largest food producer and are involved in a start up cheese manufacturing facility in east Cork, in partnership with Dairygold. Tine are manufacturers of the world renowned © Jarlsberg Cheese and will commeme production in 2019 in their new greenfield site. THE ROLE: * Will lead and manage the maintenance team, and is a member of the TINE management team reporting to plant manager. * Ensure compliance with external laws and regulations, customer requirements, and internal standards, including TINE's Food Safety and Quality, maintenance and HSE policies. * Create a culture that drives safe and efficient operation which meets the requirements for quality, delivery and total costs within the production area. * Ensure compliance with agreed maintenance processes, procedures and systems. * Monitor, deliver and report against Site Metrics and KPI's. * Ensure that all plant equipment and automation systems are maintained to a standard that does not compromise defined quality standards. * Optimise plant reliability using risk based methods and root-cause analysis of defects and downtime. * Drive engineering risk assessment for equipment and manufacturing units. * Measure and improve maintenance costs and ensure that efficiency targets and improvement are delivered. * Setting goals, developing necessary plans, develop the annual budget and ensure that all areas operate within the allocated budget. * Initiate, plan, implement and follow up investments and engineering projects. REQUIREMENTS: * An engineering degree in process, maintenance or related discipline; a Master's degree is an advantage. * 5-10 years' experience within the dairy, process or food sector working in a controlled manufacturing environment covering GMP/ Food safety standards/ Quality & safety requirements. * Documented experience with maintenance models, processes and systems. Previous start up experience would be a distinct advantage. * Expertise with running state of the art lean production systems and have documented results from improvement processes. A Green Belt in Continuous Improvement / 6 sigma is desired. * Proven record in maintaining safe work environments. * Strong leadership skills together with an ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
