Meeting & Events Co-ordinator. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a meeting and event's organiser for our esteemed client in Cork City. We are seeking a high energy, highly motivated and driven person with a strong sales and results focus. The successful candidate should be a career-oriented individual with a desire to reach challenging targets and a proven ability to manage the busy events department successfully. The Job: Plan and organise events and meetings to client specifications. Build and develop rapport with customer from the first meeting, to develop long term client relationships. Be an ambassador for the hotel its staff and all product offerings. Work to departmental budgets, targets and goals. Up to date knowledge of hotel operations, best practice, current market trends, competitor activity and all legislative requirements of the department. Maintain excellent working relationships with all vendors and maintain external business relationships. Implement and maintain procedure to ensure efficient and effective operations. Meticulous record keeping of all client communication and in forwarding relevant information to correct department s in the hotel. Generate new business for the hotel. Effectively follow up on all sales enquiries. You: Come from a strong Hotel Background in 4*/5* Hotels. 2-3 Years Prior experience in sales,meetings, weddings and event management in a hospitality environment. Have exemplary knowledge of the wedding and events industry. Love working in the industry and focused on a long term career in hotel sales. Well presented with an excellent manner and guest focused personality. Excellent problem solving skills. Calm under pressure and be able to deal with difficult situations as they arise. Sales and Marketing Qualification strongly desired. Organised and Efficient in work approach.
