Responsibilities: Support our VDI installations, where necessary providing level 2 and level 3 support to our operations teams globally. Lead exercises to troubleshoot and optimize our VDI environments. Coordinate the input of service providers and partners to ensure delivery and support of key systems. Partner with applications, platform, infrastructure and applications teams to design and build environments to best deliver our business functionality across the company. At all times maintain the compliant status of our systems - ensuring the maintenance of the qualified state of all appropriate systems and compliant practices throughout the applications portfolio. Liaise and partner extensively with the various support functions in the successful transition of developed solutions into BAU running mode. Experience: Experience working in a VMware virtual desktops environment. 4+ years’ experience supporting Windows 7 or greater, VMware Horizon 5 or greater, VMware ThinApp. Experience with VMware AppVolumes is essential. Experience with virtual imaging and automated software distribution tools and qualities. Knowledge of CA ITCM, Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory systems a plus. Proactive, enthusiastic and ambitious.
