Purpose of the Position. Training Site Clerk/ Site Clerk reports to the Project/ Site Manager and works closely with the Site Manager, Foreman and project team to manage all in-coming and out-going site activity. In his/her role the Site Clerk will be responsible for access in and out of the site, management of the project store, ordering of materials, hiring and off hiring of plant, management of delivery dockets, and for maintaining site records in accordance with company policy / procedures. Duties (May include but are not limited to. Maintaining a register of all Ruden Homes personnel on site each day, including start and finish times; Hiring and off hiring of plant in conjunction with the Site Manager. Maintaining a register of all safety equipment on site and ensuring all PPE equipment required is signed and registered by site personnel; Processing all requisition orders for materials and plant to Head Office and ensuring Purchase Orders/Job Numbers are issued; Signing for materials and plant equipment delivered to the site and ensuring that delivery dockets are returned to Head Office in line with procedural requirements: Ensuring that all plant is returned at the end of each shift and taking responsibility for plant and materials in the site stores; Maintaining site records in accordance with company policy and procedures. Supporting the Safety Personnel in ensuring adherence to and implementation of the Safety Management System; Full responsibility for the security and maintenance of stores; Ordering materials and keeping a log of all materials held in the site store; Handling all physical enquiries to site and relaying messages as appropriate; Opening and securing of site office and site on a daily basis. Directing deliveries i.e. BCL deliveries / Sub-contractor deliveries to required locations; Send and receive correspondence to appropriate team members when required. Register all drawings, circulate to Site Management Team and remove superseded drawings from system – storing as appropriate for records; Maintain main Filing System and keep up to date. Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications. Preferably construction related background. Strong administration & organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong IT Skills, coupled with an administrative qualification would be desirable but not essential. Minimum of 2 years Site Experience and/or Site Clerk or administration experience with a Main Contractor / Developer. Site Experience / Certificate in Construction desirable.
