Tax Analyst. In partnership with its client Kenny-Whelan & Associates is currently seeking a Tax Analyst for the Cork area. The Client: The Client is a well established Pharmaceutical company in Cork. Profile : The Tax Analyst will support the Ireland Tax Centre with quarterly tax provisioning, US tax reporting, preparation of Irish corporation tax computations and returns and ad hoc tax advice to the Irish Company’s entities. Duties: Assistance with year-end and quarterly US GAAP tax provisioning. Ongoing assistance with the US tax reporting processes for all the Irish legal entities including liaison with finance and Corporate HQ, making sure all deadlines are met and accuracy of reporting is maintained. Preparation of Irish corporation tax computations and returns and all other relevant claims and elections for all the Irish legal entities. Ensure timely submission within statutory deadlines. Tax accounting for Irish GAAP accounts. Collecting information from all group companies as required in order to advise on tax payments, all relevant claims and elections and all other submissions, both internal and external. Provide ad hoc tax advice and support to Irish group companies on various projects and issues. Liaise with finance colleagues etc to gather information to respond to queries from Irish Revenue. Assist with internal SOX requirements. Educational / IT Qualifications and Systems. • Tax and Accounting qualification together with relevant tax / finance experience. • 2 years post qualification experience preferred but not essential. ** Open to Graduates with Placement experience within the Big4 ** Key Competencies required: Ability to deliver results under pressure. Strong communication skills (oral and written) – this role involves close interaction with finance colleagues from all Irish group companies as well as external auditors, tax authorities, Corporate HQ and internal colleagues from all areas of the business. Ability to manage workload and prioritise - much of the work is providing advice and support to Irish group companies, working within their timetables and both internal and external reporting deadlines. There will be extra demands around annual statutory reporting and tax submission deadlines, quarterly and year-end reporting deadlines as well as US tax reporting deadlines. Ability to communicate complex issues to non-tax professionals and to make recommendations. All applications will be treated with the strictest confidence.
