Clinical Nurse Manager I. Permanent. Care of the Older Person. The CNMI is a key member of a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs. He/she is required to provide and maintain a caring, efficient and professional nursing service meeting the needs of patients and their families. Responsibilities - The post holder will be responsible for; • Maintain and enhance the Profession of Nursing in Mercy University Hospital. • Provide a high standard of professional and clinical leadership in all aspects of nursing care. • Deputise in the absence of the Clinical Nurse Manager II. • Play a central role in maintaining a safe clinical environment for patients and staff. • Assess, evaluate and review the requirements of individual patient needs. • Promote the optimum clinical learning environment. Eligibility Criteria - Candidates: • Current registration on the general division of NMBI. • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. • Have a minimum of two years post registration experience. • Have a proven track record in general management. • Information technology skills essential. • Management qualification desirable. • Provide education and support to patients and relatives.
