Electrical Project Engineer (Field and Office Based) Co. Cork. At the forefront of developments in high purity process systems for the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Food & Beverage and Chemical industries, this indigenous Irish company has now retained Brightwater Recruitment Specialists to recruit a Electrical Project & Maintenace Engineer for a position based 50% at client sites and 50% at their state of the art design and fabrication facilities in Co. Cork. Reporting to the Project Managers, the purpose of this position is to assist in the planning, organisation and running of a project in order to achieve the project objectives safely and within agreed time, cost and performance criteria. Working with colleagues from other engineering disciplines, fabrication and commercial management you will be a key component in ensuring the on-time in-full delivery of electromechanical projects across a broad swath of commercial and industrial applications. The Role. - Generate Cost Estimates with the Sales Department (based on clients URS, P&ID, Equipment list and local and national regulations. - Assess client automation requirements and System Architectures to meet specific project needs. - Reading design specifications and technical drawings. - Liaising with others in the Design team. - Technically co-ordinate automation and electrical subcontracts that the Company place. - Specify and procure process instrumentation, equipment and hardware. - Review/Approve HDS, FDS, SDS and Test Packs for automation and electrical projects in accordance with GAMP protocols and project specifications. - Generate design documentation including wiring drawings. - Setup and troubleshoot process equipment and instrumentation. - Organise and Manage the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) activity. - Attend Hardware and Software FAT’s and act as BCD witness/approver of same. - Provide FAT and Commissioning Support for integrated process systems. - Management of Electrical & Automation Subcontractors. Educational Requirements. - Engineering degree or equivalent trade qualifications/experience. - Essential Experience & Role Requirements: - 3-5 years experience in a similar position. - Training will be provided, but the successful candidate must have demonstrable experience in some or all of the responsibilities listed above including commissioning pharmaceutical electrical systems. - Able to demonstrate good project management skills: organisation, cost, time, schedule, contracting, procurement, qualification, validation, technologies. - Skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and engineering calculation software.
