Planning Manager with our medical device client in Cork, this is a permanent role. The PLANNING MANAGER will have responsibility for managing a team of supply chain personnel, including organizing and prioritizing goals and objectives in line with business strategy. THE ROLE: * Responsible for ensuring Cork's manufacturing build plans support high levels of customer service while maintaining minimum levels of inventory. * Provides leadership, direction and management of a team, to support execution of the Supply Chain strategy related to Planning, Procurement, Warehousing and Logistics. * Assessing different distribution methods for Cork to reduce product lead times while identifying and achieving cost reduction opportunities. * Responsible for managing finished goods, raw materials and WIP inventory levels. * Responsible for planning, implementing, and initiating activities on multiple projects related to Supply Chain to ensure project deliverable dates and scope are met. * Leads, monitors, assesses and communicates risks on key Supply Chain projects, providing regular updates to Senior Management. * Ensure compliance with current regulatory standards and guidelines (Financial, EHS and Quality Assurance. * Implements and maintains material and production control systems, policies, processes and procedures ensuring a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. REQUIREMENTS: * Degree Qualified. * Min 5 years' experience in a supply chain role at a leadership level. * Strong knowledge of cGMP and cGDP. * Proven ability to successfully interact with other functions on projects that involve negotiation and collaboration with cross-functional peers and more senior management levels. * Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
