Position: Senior Ehs Specialis, Cork

This organisation are a globally renowned leading healthcare company, who focus upon developing revolutionary therapeutics that have a meaningful impact on patients' health worldwide. The organisation currently employ 500 people at their biologics site in Cork. This site is expanding rapidly due to the inception of a new product and as such they require a Senior EHS Specialist to join their organisation. This role is crucial to the organisation in order to strive towards their mission of positively impacting upon the progression of global medicine for future generations. The Position: As the Senior EHS Specialist you will be a key member of the EHS team reporting directly to the Associate Director EHS for the site. You will be required to lead programs to continuously improve safety and high-risk work programs on site, and you will need the ability to act as Deputy for the Associate Director EHS when they are offsite. Additional responsibilities include; Coaching and developing others on the site EHS programs and EHS matters. Monitor developments in EHS Regulations and interpretations of these by regulatory agencies, and subsequently advise site management of changes in regulations or interpretations. Develops and implements site strategies to ensure absolute compliance with all current and future EHS requirements. Participate in risk assessments, inspections, audits, incident investigations, and implement and follow-up on related CAPAs. The Person: As a Senior EHS Specialist you will require 10 years experience in an EHS role, some of which must have been within a GMP environment. A technical primary degree with a post-graduate EHS qualification is also required. You will need strong leadership capabilities and an ability to influence and collaborate with others.
