What you need to know. You will work as a Training Specialist for our client, a multinational pharmaceutical company based in Brinny, Cork . As the Training Specialist, you will be a key member of the Learning & Development Team providing support to a key site project. You will be accountable for the smooth execution of the set goals and will work closely with the team lead to fully participate in the overall team and project performance. You will be in charge of the development of Learning plans for business and functional areas, communication and co-ordination of all training milestones and preparing various training status reports and metrics for on-going review. This job is a 12-month contract position with a salary range of €45k-€70k depending on experience. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: Develop, implement and evaluate training content to ensure organisational readiness for assigned area of responsibility. Ensure strong project focus and ability to work closely with the Project Manager(s) in coordinating training deliverables and meeting project scope. Coordinates training plans and programs for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility to meet departmental training objectives. Conducts training and ongoing training evaluations to ensure effectiveness of programs and recommends more complex training modifications as necessary. Implementation of comprehensive training programs to ensure excellent capabilities across all roles, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Continually evaluates training progress and effectiveness and update training material when necessary. Serves as a trusted training resource and ensures training materials, plans and/or programs reflect business needs and organisational readiness of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. Proactively collaborates and communicates with appropriate internal/external stakeholders to address more complex training gaps to optimise organisational performance. Control of area expenditure within budgetary limits. Maintains knowledge on emerging developments/trends for assigned area, assess the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions. Remains current all back up files stored on the system. What are we looking for? Degree or 3rd level qualification (Business, Science. A Learning and Development qualification is desirable. At least 5 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or a similar operating environment. Demonstrated knowledge in more than one pharmaceutical and/or chemical manufacturing operation (e.g. Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, etc.). Ability to manage multiple priorities and to know when to escalate issues for resolution. Knowledge of methods and alternatives for delivering adult learning solutions. Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Project Management qualification such as Project Management Professional.
