Job Description: Our client is one of Cork's leading hotels offering an exclusive product with leading service in the 4-star market. They are currently accepting applications for an experienced Restaurant Manager to work with the dynamic Food & Beverage Team.This is a full-time position based on 5 days over 7. The ideal applicant will have had experience in a similar role and be responsible for ensuring that the Restaurant Team meet the requirements of each guest, whether it’s an intimate anniversary party for 50, a romantic dinner for 2 or a family getaway leisure break. Role Responsibilities: The experienced Manager will report directly to the General Manager and Deputy General Manager. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Supervising all restaurant functions and your team throughout the service. Briefing the restaurant team and ensuring the restaurant is set to the required standard. Ensuring the restaurant is turned around, ready for the next service. Guiding and leading the Restaurant Team in set up of tables and place settings. Being familiar with all current and upcoming bookings and guests. Resolving staff and customer concerns quickly and efficiently. Co-ordinating and working closely with the kitchen. Planning ahead so each service runs smoothly. Checking all bills are paid on time and room charges are posted correctly. Should be able to work under pressure. Scheduling of Restaurant staff, preparing weekly duty chart to correspond with Restaurant bookings. Assisting the Deputy Manager with scheduling, training and performance management. Submitting a detailed report of large bookings in particular to management team for feedback purposes. Role Requirements: Excellentteam management skills. Strongleadership skills to motivate and manage your team. Excellentcommunication skills. A positive attitude. The confidence to liaise with other heads of department and meet our guests expectation. Personal charm to greet organisers, hosts and VIPs and to show clients you are giving them full attention. Excellent organisational and administrative skills. A cool, calm composure in order to deal with last minute requests. Should possess in depth knowledge of Food and Beverage preparation and presentation. A can-do attitude.
