Software Developer at Poppulo. Ireland Cork Office. The Opportunity Poppulo is looking for a motivated and skilled Software Developer to join our expanding technical services department. The successful candidate will develop bespoke integration solutions and middleware to link Poppulo Internal Communication software with client systems.Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, this is a hands on software development role requiring analysis, specification, pricing, consultancy and customer management skills as well as some project management. Poppulo's Technical Services department is a customer-facing team offering consultation and technical engagements, focusing on delivering customer solutions during the provisioning and integration phases of our world-class enterprise-level Internal Communications platform. The successful candidate will leverage existing experience within the team and will be a key consulting resource providing best practise advice, integration solutions, data manipulations and technical skills to our blue chip customer base. This is a permanent full-time position based in Cork. What you’ll be doing. Core technologies for this role currently include: Web Services (RESTful,JSON,SOAP, XML, APIs. Automation scripting technologies (Windows Powershell,Bash. Server scripting languages (Ruby,PHP. Web Application Frameworks (like Rails. You’ll design and develop new and existing data integrations and services (leveraging Poppulo’s web service APIs. You’ll develop flexible client applications to run within customer environments (API client. Creating and customizing middleware solutions for data integrations will be part of your every day. Working with customers and stakeholders, you will be defining solutions and pricing. Ensure all solutions are scalable and reusable. Helping customers to understand the technical activities required when integrating Poppulo with their organisation. Coordinating technical onboarding activities with customer project managers and IT stakeholders. Providing third-level coding support to the Poppulo customer support team. Producing and extending solutions, technical specifications and related documentation. Becoming a subject matter expert on the relevant areas of responsibility. Working with customers and other team members to identify innovative solutions. Identifying consultancy opportunities where value can be given to customers. What we’re looking for: Third level qualification (Computer Science, Business Information Systems, related qualification or equivalent industry experience. 2 or more years experience in a comparable role (Software Developer, Data Integrations Specialist. Proven track record delivering script based solutions such as Ruby, Web services. Proven ability to work constructively with large blue-chip customer organisations. Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical customers. Ability to build scalable, reusable and standardized solutions. Self-motivated with strong collaboration skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Scripting using Powershell or comparable scripting methodology. Windows Server & GPO Administration. Knowledge of DNS (SPF,DKIM, MX) Administration.
