My Client a leading Logistics Company are looking to attract a Transport Manager for their Business. This Organisation provides handling, storage, post production services and distribution channels from its Cork based facility. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the following: Oversee full legal compliance for the Transport Operation. Responsibility and the primary contact for 8 drivers and resolving any issues. Deliver on KPI targets – Truck capacity, driver performance and Company productivity. Ensure that driver plans are being implemented daily and weekly. Responsible for the download of driver’s tachograph cards and vehicle units and ensure drivers are adhering to laws and regulations whilst driving company vehicles. Manage maintenance schedule to ensure compliance. Ensure licenced vehicles are maintained under RSA Guidelines. Recording of vehicle defects and arrange CVRT maintenance, inspections and re-tests. Organise Tachograph Calibration inspections. Other Ad hoc duties requested by Management. The successful candidate must have a number of years experience in transport management, and hold a relevant transport management/logistics diploma. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to manage a team essential. Excellent planning and organisational abilities a must coupled with high level of competency in Microsoft office and Transport Software Programmes. Experience with ISO:9001 2015 desirable.
