Quality Engineer. I am delighted to be assisting a leading medical device company in Cork to recruit a Quality Engineer to join their team. About the job: As Quality Engineer you will be responsible for leading or assisting in the implementation of projects associated with microbiological and biological safety aspects of product and process development/manufacturing transfer and validation through development life cycle phases. You will ensure that validation, routine monitoring and maintenance of product cleaning, clean room, final packaging, labelling, microbiological testing & monitoring and sterilisation activities as well as associated standard operating procedures conform to regulatory requirements. The Senior Quality Engineer will also ensure that Biological safety requirements for devices are met as well as implementing and maintaining bacterial endotoxin programs for devices. Finally, you will provide support to Product design teams in areas relating to Sterilisation and Biological Safety of product while also contributing to projects relating to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. Technical Fit. You will hold a relevant Engineering/ technical or microbiology degree at least 3 years QE experience in the med device sector and ideally you'll have a demonstrated capability relating to Terminal Sterilization, Microbiology and/or Biological Safety of Medical devices. You will also have experience in Microbiological techniques including those relating to Bacterial Endotoxin and a knowledge and experience in Analytical techniques. Soft Skills/Cultural Fit.
