Our client, a growing company within the FMCG manufacturing industry is looking to attract a Cheese Technologist for their Organisation. The role reports to the R&D Manager. Main Responsibilities: Good working knowledge of all aspects of cheese making i.e. technology, chemistry, nutritional, sensory, packaging technology etc. Understand cheese functionality and factors affecting its performance. Working with customers on projects at retail and industrial level from concept to launch stage. Provide technical support on problem solving internally and externally to customers. Travel and present to customers internationally, attend trade shows and seminars. Work cross functionally across the business with Business Development Managers, Marketing and Quality. Liaise with food for Health Ireland on research projects with Universities and Industry Groups. Have a basic understanding of the regulations and legislative environment on labelling cheese and making claims in the retail and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will need to have previous experience in a similar role. Degree accredited in food science with preference for an MSc or Phd in the area of cheese science and technology. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills coupled with attention to detail, project management capabilities and a dynamic, driven “can do” approach.
