General Ledger Accountant: Our client is a large and very successful US Multinational with their European SSC based here in Cork. They are currently looking to fill a permanent post in General Accounting within their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a large European Shared Service Environment. The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant with at least 1 to 2 yerar`s previous SSC / MNC experience. The client will consider newly qualified accountants for these positions. JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting directly to a General Accounting Team Lead, this role would suit a motivated person who is looking to expand their career within an expanding & ambitious European Shared Service Centre. Processing and analysis of financial data related to the General Accounting (GA) system. Fully responsible for Month End Accounting including all reconciliations and monitoring reports. Responsible in full for managing and producing local statutory audit files and statutory financial statements for EMEA jurisdictions including robust bridge reconciliations between US GAAP and Local GAAP & maintenance of excellent professional relationship with external statutory auditors. Responsible for smooth running of hard-close and year-end US GAAP audit requirements for EMEA jurisdictions to ensure completion in a timely manner & maintenance of excellent professional relationship with external US GAAP auditors. Responsible for the delivery of excellent customer service through partnership with key business unit finance staff and delivery of high-quality service levels to both the business unit and division. QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified Accountant. Statutory audit experience ideally. ERP experience. High volume reconciliation experience. Fully competent in Microsoft Excel.
