There are now vacancies in both Cork County Council and Tipperary County Council for the position of Senior Executive Scientist. The Senior Executive Scientist position includes responsibility for overall management of a significant team of staff including scientists, environmental technicians and administrative staff. The successful candidates will play a key role in developing and implementing change programs and leading projects in the area of environmental protection to meet the evolving challenges of national, regional and stakeholder laboratory strategies within the relevant local authority. The successful candidates will: • Hold an honours degree (Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications) in Science; • Have at least seven years satisfactory experience in scientific work; • Possess a high standard of administrative and management experience; • Have satisfactory knowledge of public service organisation.
