Marketing Career Recruitment`s client is an awesome global FMCG Group with brilliant iconic brands. Based in Cork and reporting to the Corporate Affairs Director, the successful candidate will develop a strategic communications strategy and a strategic sustainability strategy for the business in Ireland. Duties will also include aspects of the companies Public Affairs agenda. Main duties and responsibilities will include: Working with the CA Director, develop a strategic communications strategy (internally & externally) to tell the companies Irish story with Pride, specifically to: - Formulate, embed and evaluate strategic plans and programmes to align and engage the Irish business employees in support of the company vision and strategy - Formulate and embed a strategic digital communications strategy for internal and external communications. - Formulate strategic plans for the internal communications channels (and development of new channels where appropriate) - Evolve and continuously improve the internal communications framework - Management of the internal and external digital channels, including, but not limited to, the corporate websites and social media channels. - Coaching and development of one direct report. - Play a key communications role in company events, such as e.g. Company Conference and Roadshows - Develop external communication plans for specific programmes. - Develop, roll out and evaluate a Sustainability Roadmap for Ireland, embedding sustainability awareness throughout the organisation. - Publish Ireland’s sustainability results - Manage and engage with key community external stakeholders Working with the CA Director, execute some of Ireland’s public affairs agenda where appropriate. Key Skills: • Third level qualification • 5-7 years’ experience in a relevant field • Proven track record as a strategic and innovative leader • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills • Proven ability to influence and work across different functions • Outstanding written and verbal communication • Strong IT& Digital skills and a strong interest in leveraging digital and social media platforms • Strong people development skills • Exceptional work ethic and self-motivated to excel in a fast paced environment • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail • Ability to work well in a team and strong interpersonal skills • Demonstrate a high level of learning agility and curiosity • Role-holder must also have flexibility to travel to Dublin on a regular basis.
