I am currently recruiting for a Planner/Analyst for a leading medical devices organisation, based in Cork. This is a maternity contract position (9 months), that requires an immediate start. Key Responsibilities of the role will include: Translating demand forecasts into effective Production Plans and Schedules. Identify potential gaps and agree mitigation with Production and Supply Network Planning. Placing Purchase Orders with Suppliers in a timely and efficient manner to optimize inventory management while ensuring there are no production delays due to lack of materials. Ensure the accuracy of all Planning Data with regular measurement of accuracy and refreshment at least Bi-annually. Prepare key reports and presentations to support the efficient functioning of the Production Planning Department. Generate “management by exception reports” that focus priorities on pro-active risk mitigation to be used by Production Planners in creating and prioritizing weekly and Quarterly schedules. Partner with Production Planning leaders to develop algorithms and scenario models that mitigate risks and create valuable business knowledge. Develop an Analytical Journey strategy for Production planning: to be reviewed and refreshed annually. Champion a culture of Better Decision Making based on sound data and advanced analytics including Analytical Coaching and Training program to help grow analytical skills organically. Create an Analytical Journey Scorecard that will be reviewed and supported by senior stakeholders on site and in the wider supply chain organization. Requirements: Degree in Supply Chain / Business - plus previous manufacturing experience would be an advantage. Team player. Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and system skills would be essential. Good communication skills - able to liaise across business functions. Understanding of global culture diversities. Customer oriented outlook.
