Finance Business Partner (Strategic Projects. Our client is one of the leading food manufacturing companies in the country. They are looking to appoint a finance professional to the post of Strategic Projects Finance Business Partner. The role will be based primarily at head office in Mitchelstown. This role will report directly to Operations Financial Controller.The successful candidate will be a key member of the Finance Operations team and will provide financial leadership for all Operations Strategic Projects through the development of investment strategies and business cases, providing excellent project governance taking a structured and methodical approach to meet project deadlines, while building effective relationships across multiple projects and project teams. Duties & Responsibilities: As part of the Operations Finance team, understand the strategic business objectives and investment requirements of the business and act as finance lead in developing investment strategies and business cases to ensure the strategic goals and objectives are met. Provide strong financial leadership , reporting and control for all Operations Strategic Projects from initial business case right through to project implementation and review. In addition to Strategic Projects, manage and control ongoing capital expenditure for all Operations activities. Management and preparation of monthly reporting of results across multiple projects, including budgets, forecasts, and adherence to investment plans and review performance to enable robust reporting of variances to the key stakeholders. Develop appropriate financial KPIs for the strategic projects (including Capital controls, Project forecasting and Cashflow forecasting etc.) Drive a culture of data based decision making and long term financial forecasting and planning for all strategic investment decisions. Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company to strategically manage projects to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives. Develop strong partnerships with the Engineering and Legal functions to ensure appropriate project governance from project design through to installation and handover. Partner and collaborate with all business functions to ensure a rigorous and disciplined approach to capital allocation decisions. Build effective relationships across multiple projects and project teams, and develop the role to ensure the provision of in depth financial analysis for strategic projects. Manage the maximisation of available third party grant funding across the Operations Business, from submission to approval and final drawdown. Manage the capital process and ensure all capital expenditure including strategic projects and ongoing capital expenditure complies fully with internal and external audit requirements. Candidates for this position should possess: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial management role. An Accountancy Qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA. Well-developed interpersonal skills, to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; Excellent project management skills, taking a structured approach to work, consistently meeting deadlines. Excellent conceptual and analytical capabilities with the ability to generate insights from large amounts of data. Good communication and people management skills, with the ability to effectively influence, partner and challenge individuals across multiple projects. Ability to multi-task, displaying skill in establishing priorities and managing workloads to meet challenging deadlines. Ability to manage, coordinate, and support special projects as needed, with a positive can-do flexible attitude.
