Telephone/VOIP System Installation & Technician: VOIP technician needs to be proficient at all aspects of digital and voip telephone system installation. This includes termination of telecom multi core cables and data cables. The ability to complete site surveys and identify telecoms/network equipment in a working environment. A working knowledge of pabx programming and system software. Certification or relevant experience with any of the established manufacturers (Cisco, Siemens, Mitel, Avaya etc.) A practical understanding of telephone features and their implementation in a working environment. Testing and fault finding on ISDN PSTN and SIP trunks. Tcp/ip networking and firewall/router programming is a fundamental requirement. Strong computer skills - should be comfortable with all aspects of personal computing. 3 - 4 days a week will involve client site visits - a full clean driving licence is essential. As is a desire to work on client sites - as a result a flexible approach to start finish times is desirable. The position will suit a strong ambitious character that's wants to develop their position into a lead role in our small but fast growing telecommunications company.
