Supply Chain Specialist Under general direction of the Supply Chain Manager the Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for supporting all supply chain related tasks for the Company. This position directly manages day to day operations, which includes resolution of issues, as they occur. The position works closely with the Corporate and Regional Supply Chain teams and contributes substantially to the quality and effectiveness of our overall supply management and company results. Duties and responsibilities: Optimizing inventory levels to minimize working capital levels while maintaining customer service levels. Managing new product introductions. Addressing and resolving any supply issues. Improve systems by working with internal and external parties. Responsible for the management of a high quality vendor base to support Operations. Manages vendor performance through metrics. Managing compliance with Transport and Customs Regulations. Supporting supply chain security strategy to counteract counterfeiting. Leading monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) review. Supporting the supply chain strategy. Complying with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations. Requirements: Normally requires a minimum of five to ten years directly related and progressively responsible experience in supply chain environment. Also require a broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Understanding of supply chain policies. Understanding of SAP, the ERP system used is an advantage. Project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of various diverse scope in a cross-functional environment. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain business relationships. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across an organization. Outstanding problem solving skills and ability to apply the appropriate tools and level of analysis to a specific situations. Ability to communicate effectively, strong analytical, mathematical and organization skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented and efficiently keeping track of deadlines. Strong computer skills in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs; proficiency in excel is desired, with an in depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
