I have the privilege in assisting a highly respected Food Manufacturer find a Project Process Engineer to work on their key capital investments and process improvement project across their sites in Cork. This role has become available due to increased export opportunities, growth and new product lines being introduced. The Project Process Engineer will report to the Head of Engineering, this newly created position will assume leading responsibility for driving high standard of efficiency across multiple projects using best practice project management techniques on capital investment and process improvement projects across our client 4 key manufacturing sites. The successful applicant will be required to work closely with the Site teams across the business to deliver the identified targets. This person will be a core part of the engineering team, liaising directly with both internal and external parties on associated aspects of the business. Project Process Engineer Duties. Project Management for the site related projects; Define and develop detailed project scopes through stakeholder meetings; Co-ordinate all project activities including estimating, design, specification, sourcing, purchasing, construction and commissioning activities; While focusing on energy (gas and electricity), water and other site utilities at plant level, monitor performance and identify and lead projects to deliver savings and achieve site KPIs. Deliver projects within budget, schedule & specification while adhering to site safety rules and the required standard. Effective management of payback analysis, scheduling & cost control. Support Line managers and cross functional teams to identify key areas for improvement within their area. Tendering and bid analysis for equipment & contracts. Effective management of contractors on site; Updating and maintaining process & utility system P&ID's, engineering specifications & standards; Identify payback projects and complete the required submission for consideration for capex; Secure buy-in from the Site & Senior Leadership team and key stakeholders; Adherence to H&S requirements in the execution of your duties; Requirements. 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role. Third level qualification in a relevant discipline. Excellent project management skills are essential to this role; Experience of HAZOP and P&ID is critical. Be able to motivate people and demonstrate strong leadership skills. Good knowledge of construction regulations (PSCS, PSDP.
