Our client, a leading, global logistic solutions provider, is seeking an experienced freight professional to manage their business development function in the Munster area. The role requires strong freight forwarding experience, preferably multi-modal, combined with proven business development skills. The Role: To acquire new customers and maintain the relationship thereafter. Promote company services, in particular sea freight services. It is essential that the chosen candidate have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Freight Forwarding sector. Proven customer negotiation abilities, with sales experience and strong communication skills. Ability to generate new business and introduce medium and large enterprises as customers. Multi-modal freight forwarding experience is desirable. Sea freight experience is essential. The Person: Ability to work on own initiative and within a team. Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure and apply focus to the role. Highly flexible, able to adapt to changing demands. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to meet and exceed set targets to ensure business objectives are achieved. Terms: Full-time, permanent. Package: Salary will depend on experience.
