Our client is a large manufacturing solutions provider primarily operating in the medical devices sector. They are now looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team. As Assistant Accountant, you will support the Financial Controller in maintaining and controlling the General Ledger postings and Accounts reconciliations. Supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, you will generate and record transactions and manage on a weekly basis and General Ledger reconciliations. You’ll manage the site fixed-asset register and support the Financial Controller in compiling capital expenditure requests and submissions, Perform general account analysis alongside balance sheet, banking and other account reconciliations. So, is this the role for you? If so, you will need: - Degree working towards a CIMA qualification. - At least one to two years’ experience in general accounting in a fast paced environment. - Knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practice. - Proficiency in relevant ERP software. - Proficiency in MS Excel. - A relevant degree-level qualification. Analytical, detail-oriented and hands-on, as an Assistant Accountant, you will also need strong problem-solving skills, a team player mentality and excellent organisational abilities.
