ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER - CORK CITY SUBURBS. About the role. In your role as Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the managing of the performance of the Food and Beverage operations within the Hotel Bar & Bistro. You will manage and support your team with daily activities, and ensure brand service standards are met to the highest quality. You will also work in conjunction with the Head Chef to develop menus, strategies action plans to improve operations, and be responsible for leading and developing your team to ensure a consistent high level of service. This position is Floor Operations in Front of House Managing a Team for excellence in Food service and beverage. Hours usually 12pm-9pm. 5 days out of 7, inlcuding weekends. Every 2nd Sunday off. Duties/responsibilities. " Manage and support daily Bar & Bistro Operations. " Manage the team, ensuring that hotel standards are met and guest expectations are exceeded. " Use your knowledge of local trends to plan menus, and strategize action plans to achieve financial targets. " Evaluate levels of Guest satisfaction with a focus on continuous improvement Resolve conflicts and issues where necessary. " Set achievable budgets and other short and long-term functional goals. " Train and develop team members, ensuring they maintain a professional manner and are up to date with VIP guest movements, hotel events, local attractions and activities. Skills/experience. " In depth knowledge of the Restaurant, F&B Service. " Knowledge of Beers, Whiskeys , Cocktails are a plus. " At least 2 years' experience in a Food and Beverage Supervisory/Management role. " Fluent in the English language in order to communicate professionally with guests and team members, both in person and over the telephone. " A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. " Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure. " Demonstrated success in the Food and Beverage industry, and an ability to meet financial targets. " Well-presented, organised and calm personality. We are seeking an individual that possesses charisma and oozes personality.
