ESI Technologies Group, part of the Indutrade Group, is the leading supplier of Process Equipment & Engineering Solutions into the Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Biotechnology Industries in Ireland & UK. The continued expansion of our Irish and UK Sales Operations has resulted in the requirement for the following position: HR GENERALIST. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will be based in our Cork office and responsibilities will include : Duties of the Role: Provide advice and guidance to Line Managers and employees at all stages of employment in a timely and professional manner ensuring that all advice provided is in line with HR policies and practices. Review and update HR policies and procedures ensuring that they are in line with relevant legislation and industry best practice. Act as a trusted advisor to Line Managers on employee relations matters including the disciplinary and grievance processes, short term absence management etc ensuring compliance with legislation and in line with best practice. Support Line Managers and Supervisors in managing short term absence and levels of attrition within their business areas, highlighting key trends. Ensure all administration tasks are complete including updating and maintaining employee data on the HR, employee files. Management of Training Gap Analysis for all employees, review, monitor, scheduling and feedback analysis. Review and update of Staff Appraisal Procedures. Management of Staff Recruitment and Interview Process for new employees. Other project work and ad hoc duties required including Health and Safety, Employee Handbook, staff benefits and reward statements. To maintain commercial awareness and ensure a full understanding of the requirements and challenges within ESI. Requirements/Experience for Role: HR Degree and CIPD qualification. 3 years + experience in a HR role would be preferred. Knowledge and understanding of HR best practice and employment law. Excellent IT skills , particularly Excel is a must. Ability to work to own initiative and make informed decisions. Excellent analytical and time management skills. Strong attention to detail with an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to build and maintain good relationships with colleagues by adopting the most appropriate approach to deal with people and situations. Ability to negotiate and identify compromise in reaching agreements. Flexibility and willing to travel to UK office as and when required.
