Our client, a leading shipping services provider, is currently looking for an ocean freight forwarder, to start as soon as possible. Duties: Handling shipments from booking to delivery. Issuing pre-Advice and then Advice of Arrival and Release Orders to the Clients. Arranging Customs Clearance and Delivery when required. Invoicing clients. Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are in place for all relevant customers. Create and issue quotations to prospects, customers, overseas offices in line with the operational SOP. Accruing charges from Creditors. Dealing with Operations problems/queries with Overseas Offices/Partners and Clients whenever required. Other duties as deemed necessary. Minimum Requirements: Previous experience in ocean freight forwarding would be a distinct advantage. Relevant experience in a logistics or transport role will also be considered. Candidates without relevant experience/recent qualification in the logistics sector will not be considered for this position. Excellent communication skills. Ability to develop relationships. Well organised with ability to prioritise. Strong IT skills. Terms: Full time, permanent. Package: Negotiable depending on experience possibly within the range of€35,000 - €40,000.
