IT Project Manager. PE Global requires an IT Project Manager for a biopharmaceutical client in Cork, this position will be for 12 months initially. The candidate must possess strong communication skills and must be savvy working with both technology and business partners across the organisation in a collaborative way. As a project manager, the candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and have a strong ability to bring order and discipline to projects that engage many stakeholders and delivery partners. The position will require the candidate to liaise and manage teams on-site and remotely. Some international travel may be required. This role will focus on a variety of IT projects supporting Manufacturing & Supply Chain business. Job duties include: • To take full responsibility for the complete project life-cycle of the specified project starting with the Plan phase. • To deliver the project on time, to budget and quality. • To develop and manage the project budget including accurate financial forecasting. • To manage a diverse group of stakeholders across different geographical regions. • To establish the project plan, project schedule and resource plan. • To monitor and track the progress of the project. • To provide accurate, timely and transparent status updates to all levels of the business. • To deliver accurate, concise and high quality project documentation. • To manage the resolution of issues and concerns. • To manage risks and change requests. • To ensure appropriate resources are assigned to the project team. • To execute the project in line with project management methodologies and processes. • To support the procurement of 3rd party products and services. • To coordinate and manage vendor activities. • To work directly with end-users in resolving project issues and ensuring the project meets the business partners’ needs. • To interface with stakeholders and to manage expectations. • To provide the appropriate levels of communication to the relevant stakeholder groups in a consistent and timely manner. • To manage the provision of training. • To ensure orderly handover to support. Knowledge, Experience and Skills: • Professional IT Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects. • Proven professional project management experience. • Solid knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques. • Solid experience in delivery of application based projects. • Solid experience in stakeholder management. • Experience in dealing with senior management up to executive level. • Ability to work with dispersed and global teams and locations. • Experience in the life-science industry required. • Experience in the delivery of GxP projects required. • Relevant professional qualification would be advantageous if combined with practical experience. • Fluency in the English language is required.
