HR Manager - West Cork






This retail organisation based in West Cork is seeking a HR Manager to drive communication, HR processes, learning & development and coaching. The HR Manager will be the glue that keeps everything and everyone together. Building a great team and a great place to work through employee engagement, staff attraction and retention along with creating a cohesive platform where staff and management are aligned. There is a total of circa 90 employees across the business, and we know the culture of the organisation to be driven by both the customers and staff. This is vital for the success of the business. This organisation is seeking an exceptional communicator who will bring the organisation to a new level to develop its people. The Role. Ensure optimum employment levels through appropriate recruitment and selection procedures. Promote a harmonious working atmosphere in store through proactive employee communication and problem resolution. To provide guidance and information where necessary thus ensuring company policies are operated and adhered to. Ensures the store is compliant with relevant legislation and implement procedures as required. Ensures such policies and procedures as operated by the company fully meet current legislation requirements; Drives all Learning & Development programs, from induction to management programs. Ensures that appropriate training and development plans are in place for each employee including an exceptional onboarding and training experience for new hires. When necessary, implements the Grievance and Disciplinary polices correctly and conducts any investigations or outcomes that may be required from time to time. Works closely with external HR consultancy to address any IR that may arise from time to time. Sits on the management team and is a key member to drive the people agenda. Supports the commercial business and ensuring the HR and commercial strategy. Leads all HR matters across the group. Leverages the relationships and support available with the associated organisations to drive the people agenda. Develops an employee retention program, ensuring employee engagement is a strategic focus. Continuing to develop new and existing managers, in particular managing staff and ER issues. The Person. 5 years' plus HR experience with at least 3 years senior generalist/management experience. Has a proven track record of managing all aspects of HR - EE, ER, retention, recruitment, EVP, HRIS. Ideally will come from a retail or services background. CIPD or similar HR qualification. Can demonstrate effective learning and development programs. Works in a collaborative manner with internal and external stakeholders. Has excellent oral and written communication skills and is an active listener. Can influence change through effective communication. The Rewards.
