JOB TITLE:Senior Design Engineer. REF NO:J4678. LOCATION:Cork. CONTRACT STATUS:Permanent. We are currently recruiting a Senior Design Engineer to join our Roads team based in Cork. You will undertake design tasks ranging from major highway projects, intersection and junction upgrades through to access roads. You will provide input to, tenders and proposals for both external and internal clients. Project delivery varies between design-only and design & build models. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in the design process, co-ordination of work with other design disciplines and the efficient management and delivery of projects within budget, programme and quality constraints. The Candidate should have: •Third Level Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline. •5+ years’ experience in a similar role. •Experience documenting detailed design of civil projects, ensuring a cohesive, consistent and accurate set of design drawings. •Experience designing roads and highways. •Alignments and section design using MX (Openroads), Civil 3D. •Experience in drainage, general civil works and earthworks design. •Project management and design delivery. •Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), team working skills and analytical skills. •Ability to lead and motivate themselves, willingly takes ownership of issues and seeks team participation to achieve best solution.
