Job title: Clinical Nurse Manager - Entry level. Location: County Cork (West. Type of jobs permanent , working hours 30h/week inclusive, Monday to Thursday, days only. no weekend work. Salary: €23-24/h. Availability: immediately. I am delighted to assist my Client, a well-run nursing home situated in West County Cork (easily commutable from Cork city), to look for their new Admissions CNM. This nursing home proudly provides person centered care, long term care as well as short term care, which is driven by the wishes and desires of residents. This job will suit a Junior CNM as well as a Senior Nurse who have previous experience with admissions and desire to progress their career. Responsibilities & duties: The role is not based on one specific unit, as a standard CNM post would be. Main responsibility will be Admissions of short term stay residents; meeting and greeting the incoming short term residents (up to 20 per week), completing admission and clinical assessments, consents, risk assessments, medication reconciliation and kardex etc. escorting the resident to their unit, and hands over their care needs and documentation to the unit CNM/nurse in charge. Any equipment required by the resident to reduce risk (sensor mats, checklists, bedrails, supportive seating, pressure relieving cushions etc) is obtained by the admission CNM and put in place for the resident. rectifying any discrepancies in medications or prescription by the family prior to admitting to the unit. keeping contact with the short term residents throughout the stay, and ensures the unit staff are meeting their identified needs. On discharge provide a brief synopsis of the stay to the resident/family. Providing the best nursing care possible to elderly service users. Requirements - Ideal candidate: Effective Communication skills. Friendly personality. Have 4-5 years experience as a Nurse in any setting. Ideally 1 years experience as a CNM or previous experience with Admissions. Strong leadership required. HIQA knowledge essential.
