This niche food and beverage manufacturing facility is looking for an experienced buyer to join their Irish team based in Little Island. The business is a global player in its sector and if you're ambitious to work with a leading name, this is a great company that looks after its staff. Established for almost two centuries, it has honed its craft and is looking only for people who are passionate about what they do. They offer a superb compensation package and are genuinely interested in the individual and what drives them. Basic to €50k plus bonus, family healthcare, pension, laptop and mobile, life assurance, annual bonus. The role will involve the following: Negotiation. Purchasing and Supply Management. Research / Information Management/ Knowledge Management. Risk Assessment and Management. You must have: Four years' experience as a buyer - Demonstrated negotiation skllls;international experience a strong plus. Relationship builder – broad capacity to deal with different cultures and people effectively. Priority management – demonstrated ability to evaluate, communicate and adjust priorities to both respond to crisis issues and ensure focus on the “most important” opportunities. Strong system and data management capabilities. Demonstrated results orientation – “net lowest cost” inclusive of risk management. Strong written and oral communication required, additional language capability a plus. Food industry experience preferred, awareness of food safety and quality requirements needed.
