Overview. Otter Products EMEA is currently looking for a top-notch Operations Director to lead the organization's regional supply chain operations. This individual will provide strategic and operational management to a cross functional team that is responsible for: demand planning, supply planning, buying, inventory strategy, international inbound and domestic logistics, customer fulfillment, regional Distribution Centre operations (3PL) and integrated business planning. This individual will ensure that this Operations team’s objectives and activities are aligned with the Company’s business goals. This role is based in Cork, Ireland, however may involve 5-10% travel (domestic & international. The ideal candidate will have the ability to model servant leadership and enhance employee engagement, and develop and lead a high energy, results driven team. We are looking for someone with demonstrated success while operating with a Regional and Global business operations environment, with a good understanding of overall end to end Supply Chain Management. Managing through servant leadership, influencing, dealing with ambiguity, strategic agility, and a relentless focus on Customer Experience are key to the success for this role. Provide exceptional leadership to the EMEA Operations team including but not limited to; being a coach and mentor to the team, ensuring the correct structure is in place through organizing the team’s roles and responsibilities and providing professional development opportunities for Otters. Accountable for the management of the teams that are responsible for demand planning, supply planning, buying, international inbound and domestic logistics, inventory management/E&O, Customer fulfillment, and regional Distribution Center operations (3PL) management. Directly accountable to the Managing Director of the EMEA Business Unit for reporting on the key performance measurements and KPI targets associated with but not limited to: Customer Delivery Performance, Inventory Turns / E&O, Supplier Performance, 3PL Performance, and E2E Cost Management. Maintains an effective business management system to collaborate with the Global Product and Engineering Elements (Project Management, Product Line Management), and the Global Supply Chain Elements: Global Materials (Global Planning, Global Supply Management, Global Hub Operations) and Global Commodity Management teams. Even though this role is scoped as a regional role, there are deliberate global aspects and requirements. This role may be called on to support theManaging DirectorEMEA on regional specific products, fulfillment and inventory strategies, and regional specific Customer requirements. So this role requires good experience in commodity management, supplier sourcing, capacity planning, cost analysis, and strategy. Responsible as the owner of the Regional IBP (integrated business planning) Supply Operational Reviews as well as the owner and representative for the EMEA region on the IBP Executive Global Supply Reviews. Responsible for continuous improvements of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes, management ,operations and regional communications. Develop and continuously enhance supply chain productivity and operational processes through the implementation of Kaizen, Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Prepares and is accountable for the overall regional supply chain budget including but not limited to : inventory, freight, duties, fulfillment handling, headcount/payroll and related business expenses. Responsible for follow up on quality initiatives reported in the region in all areas of Supply Chain. Direct multiple supply chain initiatives in a fast paced, high-volume, continuously changing environment. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications. Bachelor’s degree required. Supply Chain Certification is preferred. Seven to ten years of experience within Supply Chain/Operations, including international experience is preferred. Proven track record of achieving results through people is required. Experience in higher volume operational environments, distribution, logistics, fulfillment is required. Experience with Consumer electronics, injection molding, and mixed commodity assemblies is preferred. Drives excellence, with a particular focus on continuous improvement. Knowledge of lean techniques / Six Sigma desirable. Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Highly organised, with ability to effectively and holistically analyse situations, identify and execute solutions with a sense of urgency. An ability to exercise superior judgment to do what is right for the company, employees and the customer at all times. Fluent written & verbal English is required.
