Our client, a leading short-sea operator, feeder and inter-European specialist, is currently seeking an enthusiastic, customer focussed person with the desire to move into shipping as a career. Duties & Responsibilities: As part of an industry leading team handling Customer Services, Port Agency and Ships planning functions. Develop & maintain strong working relationship with suppliers. Develop and maintain contacts with key customers and potential customers. Champion Excellent Customer Services within the Company by acting at all times in a professional manner with all customers and colleagues. Problem-solving on all aspects of CS in Ireland. Maintain accurate hazardous cargo data input in full compliance with currently applicable IMDG regulations for sea transport. Control customers’ key customs documentation. Be responsible for handling designated key accounts & reporting KPI as required. Liaison between other company offices and agents in all matters pertaining to the business. Generating invoices as required, in a timely manner, in line with Finance team guidelines. The Person. Team player & problem solver. Enthusiastic and common sense. Excellent communications skills, written & verbal. Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required. Any other EU language is an advantage also. Terms: Full time, permanent. Package: €25,000 D.O.E. We have a range of roles with generous salaries on offer in freight forwarding. Discounted travel on ferries etc upon completion of the probationary period.
