News Reporter (Evening Echo) The person appointed will work in conjunction with the News Desk in sourcing and creating unique, newsworthy, accurate and compelling local news stories on a daily basis. S/he will bring forward story ideas to the News Desk and deliver consistent high-quality copy to deadline. The successful candidate will play a role in expanding the Evening Echo’s digital coverage and producing video content for our website and social media platforms. The successful candidate will have an established track record as a general reporter. S/he will have the ability to write news and analysis across all platforms. This role requires a high degree of flexibility, adaptability and an ability to produce firstclass work under considerable pressure. Appointees must demonstrate their ability to work independently and with others. They must also possess initiative, excellent judgement, decisiveness and good interpersonal skills.
