CSC Partners Recruitment is engaged with a client based in East Cork who are going through an expansion at present. Currently, we are looking for an Assistant Accountant to support Finance function and reporting into Financial Controller. This job involves the maintenance and control of AP and AR activities for the business in Ireland and reporting into corporate. This company is a market leader offering career advancement and a collaborative place to work. Your new role. Responsible for processing high volume Accounts Payable with attention to detail. Manage supplier invoices and payments in accordance with internal policies and procedures. Responsible for accounts reconciliation and supplier payments. Responsible for Accounts Receivable, invoicing in a timely manner. Managing banking activities, reporting and bank reconciliations. Responsible for all Accounts Receivable activities, liaising with customers and sorting out queries. Responsible for AP and AR month end and all related activities. Involvement in the production of intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple sites. Involvement in the preparation of Fixed Assets journals under the direction of the FC. Involvement in the month end routine to tight deadlines. Bank Reconciliations weekly and monthly for month end close. Involvement in month end inventory and stock takes. Working as part of a team liaising with departments across the company. Assistance with Year End and all activities. Assistance with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. Assistance in the preparation of budgets and forecasts alongside the Financial Controller. Adhoc projects as required. You will be. Degree qualified or a qualified Accounting Technician who is looking to pursue an accountancy qualification. Demonstrated experience 1 year in general accounting in a fast pace environment. Experience of working in a Manufacturing environment desirable but not essential. Experience and proficient in MS products. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively across the disciplines. Must be hands on and detail-oriented team player. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy. Time management skills and the ability to prioritise. Excellent salary and benefits package on offer with this role.
