CSC Partners Recruitment is engaged with a client based in East Cork who are going through an expansion at present. Currently, we are looking for a Qualified Accountant to support the Financial Controller in the day to day running of a busy department. This job involves the maintenance and control of general ledger activities for the business in Ireland and reporting into corporate. This company is a market leader offering career advancement and a collaborative place to work. Your new role. Assisting the Financial Controller with weekly, monthly and quarterly activities. Supporting the AP/AR specialists when required. Responsible for month end and all related activities. Responsible for the distribution of AR weekly reports and monthly reconciliations to customer and General Ledger. Responsible for the production of intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple sites. Preparation of Fixed Assets journals and responsible for the Fixed Asset register. Supporting the Financial Controller in Capital Expenditure Projects. Involvement in the month end routine to tight deadlines. Bank Reconciliations weekly and monthly for month end close. Reconciliation of monthly inventory General Ledger accounts and involvement in stock takes. Working as part of a team liaising with departments across the company. Assistance with Year End and all activities. Assistance with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. Assistance in the preparation of budgets and forecasts alongside the Financial Controller. Involvement with other projects as directed by the Financial Controller. You will be. A qualified accountant with 2 to 3 year demonstrated experience in general accounting in a fast pace environment. Experience of working in a Manufacturing environment would be desirable. Proficiency in relevant ERP software. Proficiency in MS Excel with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A problem solver with strong analytical ability. Must be hands on and detail-oriented team player. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy. Time management skills and the ability to prioritise. Excellent salary and benefits package on offer with this role.
