PE Global are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing and Cost Accountant on behalf of our client in East Cork. Manufacturing and Cost Accountant will be responsible for the development of weekly and monthly reports on Operational Key Performance Indicators. They will also be responsible for reliable and accurate budgets and forecasts and providing advice and financial support to the Site management; in doing so will facilitate key business decisions both at site level. Role: Provision of detailed weekly financial and non-financial manufacturing KPIs; Support in the preparation of monthly and year-end management accounts. Assist in the preparation of annual financial budgets; Conduct inventory analysis and controls, including stock audits / cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations; Participate in Continuous Improvement and other cost reduction activities. Act as a champion to drive and implement recommended changes. Drive any risk management initiatives from a site perspective. Represent the site on all interactions required with internal and external auditors; Provide advice and financial support to the Site management team and wider finance department. Ensure adherence to all relevant processes and controls; Participate in additional ad-hoc support and special projects as required. Requirements. Third level qualification in a relevant discipline; Qualified accountant (ACCA,CIMA, ACA,CPA);or at Final Exams. 2+ years accountancy experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment; Excellent financial and analytical skills with a strong understanding of the underlying processes in producing and interpreting financial data; Flexible and resilient approach, problem solver with a ‘can do’ attitude. Proven Results orientation, attention to detail, ability to deliver to high standards and tight deadlines; Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others at all levels in the organisation. Additional Requirements/Preferences. Ability to learn and understand the specific business area and the underlying processes required to produce the financial data; Strong computer literacy, and competent with accounting and Microsoft office packages - Previous use of Oracle is advantageous; Proven track record of strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks and focus on and meet deadlines; Willingness to assist in a team environment and to adapt to challenges in the course of achieving departmental and Group objectives.
