Quality Assurance Manager. Location: Cork. Our client, an innovative Irish company, providing manufacturing solutions for the stabilisation of food, pharmaceutical and animal health product ingredients, is seeking to hire an experienced Quality Manager. This is an exciting new position as the company embark on their next phase in their growth plan. The role will involve working from a new custom built, state of the art plant in Cork. Experience and Qualifications. Degree in Food Science/Quality Management or allied. 3 - 5 years management experience in a food ingredients production and/or medical devices or similar regulated manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000/HACCP/ISO and management and Compliance of all Quality Systems and maintenance of Supplier Approval is required. Responsibilities. To provide a process focused concept, where the processes are put in place to ensure the correct steps are done in the correct way. If the correct processes are in place there is some assurance that the actual results will turn out as expected. Quality assurance processes are put in place to provide some comfort that the end product is what you want. Quality assurance will set up the processes necessary to prove that the product is manufactured to the exact specifications need. Ensuring there is a process to test the composition in the materials provided, and process directing each stage of the manufacturing. Ensure Quality Control systems are in place to assure compliance with product license commitments, regulatory and company quality standards and guidelines and Customer requirements. Foster a process-driven environment such that resources are employed efficiently and effectively. Promote best practice and a continuous improvement culture by providing leadership and clear direction to ensure all quality standards are implemented and achieved. Establish effective partnerships with other individuals, departments, cross- functional teams and partners so that analytical services are well understood and coordinated. Manage the costs associated with measuring, evaluating or auditing products to assure conformance to quality standards, including the costs of incoming and source inspection/test of purchased material; in process and final inspection/test; product, process, or service audits; calibration of measuring and test equipment; and the costs of associated supplies and materials. Represent AnaBio where appropriate in meetings and other communications with regulatory authorities, industry meetings, etc. Provide technical guidance and apply expertise and critical thinking to help to resolve technical and compliance issues. Work within the relevant regulatory agency guidelines for the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system. including but not limited to ISO 9001:2015, HACCP plan and pre-requisite programmes, FSSC 22000, Department of Agriculture, Halal Certification, Kosher Certification. Participate in the review and update of SOPs, trend data, investigations, non-conformances, validation protocols, reports, method validation/verifications and equipment. Drive continuous improvement, perform root cause analysis on system failures and substandard equipment performance, using standard tools and methods, to resolve machine and system issues e.g. FMEA, Fishbone diagrams, 5 why's etc. Perform compliance monitoring including trending of failures and evaluating effectiveness of corrective actions. Manage internal and external audits and inspections, taking the role of auditee / auditor for assigned areas of responsibility. As a member of the HACCP team develop Quality Control measures. Assist in the review of operational procedures, training materials and procedures for various systems. Preparation of the companies QA manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions of the following type of documents Quality Manuals. Flow Charts. Failure investigations. Change Controls. SOPs. Validation protocols and summary reports. Control and distribute quality documentation. Effective interaction with other departments on matters related to investigations and finished batch releases close contact with Quality Control, Manufacturing, Engineering and Logistics. Manage regulatory and customer audits.
