Head Chef - Contract Catering. Location: Cork. Daytime Hours- Monday to Friday (with some exceptions) we are looking for an experienced Head Chef from a high volume background in either large hotels or contract catering units. We need someone energetic, pragmatic and full of ideas and that that can motivate and lead a team to consistently deliver high quality offerings on a large scale. We want someone full of fresh ideas that has a very strong handle on financial operations, cost control and budgeting. The Job: Responsible for the day to day preparation and service of food, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times. To ensure the strictest hygiene controls are met. Communicate effectively with management regarding any issues. Creativity and imagination in terms of menus, preparation and presentation. Strong financial awareness and experience. You: At least 3 years prior experience as a Head Chef in a large scale operation. Have a recognised catering qualification. Be passionate and able to self-motivate. Be hard working and always striving to improve. Strong leadership skills. Organised and efficient in their work.
